Who is driving your website?
Anybody builds websites these days but do they have the experience to know what will make that website:
- deliver what you want,
- go in the direction you want,
- stand the test of time,
- be loved by search engines,
- integrate with revenue strategies,
- follow psychometric rules,
- stand out from the crowd,
- load quickly,
- use the cheapest but most effective plugins,
- be easy to administrate for non developer minds,
- be as cost effective for your hosting as possible …
The list goes on and on.
There is no denying it, there now seems to be millions of people and companies who say they can build websites and technically that may be true. You can create a website in a few clicks using Wix with no knowledge needed. However, would you know the implications of how each website page effects your future reputation and success level with not only your clients but all of the search engines and robots that crawl it to see what you have to offer the world?
The real value you are purchasing when you choose the correct website developer / company is how much experience they have of business overall. Do they understand what the website needs to do to compete in your industry?
Let’s jump into an analogy. Would you prefer to buy a car from someone who builds cars but has never driven them? Or would you buy from someone, like Lewis Hamilton, who has won the Formula 1 world drivers’ championship 3 times?
Using an expert consultancy to build, rebuild and or add value to your website and online strategy should be deemed as essential in an ever changing, fast paced, website highway. Digital consultancies offer you extensive knowledge of what it takes to drive your website to victory. In many cases they will provide you with some free advice to give you some assurance they know what they are talking about.
Do not be put off by the word ‘Consultancy’ and seek out some web developer in some far off country who promises to build your website for half the price. Or worse still, some local company who tells you they are building your website but instead are using people they have never met in person to drive your website into production.
